ABOUT
Alyssa McBride is an oil and mixed media artist from Stayner, Ontario. Raised among the rolling hills of Georgian Bay, her early environment shaped both her subject matter and her deep connection to horses. While the rural landscape continues to inform her work, McBride recently relocated to Toronto to expand her practice, build community, and establish a sustainable career within the arts.
Dividing her time between the city’s diverse arts scene and her roots back home, Alyssa’s work reflects a merging of these two worlds. She is particularly drawn to the horse as both subject and symbol, exploring themes of tradition, discipline, and respect through her artistic process. Through her practice, she hopes to celebrate the enduring equestrian spirit while inspiring young artist to pursue creative careers.
Alysa is currently developing a body of work in preparation for her first solo exhibition.
